Anna Sørrig is a Danish film director, always moving and a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York. She is all about bringing curiosity and creativity to life on screen. She has directed a range of commercials, miniseries, and short films, receiving multiple awards and nominations.
We spoke with Danish film director Anna Sørrig about creativity, control – and learning to live with a bit of chaos. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York, Anna has directed award-winning commercials, short films and miniseries. Her process is intuitive, restless, always in motion. “My thoughts aren’t very linear,” she says. “So I need a space that’s calm – where I can create some kind of order around the mess.”

“My thoughts aren’t very linear, so I really need a calm home and a home where I can be flexible and express myself, because I don’t have that within me. The question then is whether it will work out. You’ll probably always bring a part of yourself into it, and then, inevitably, some form of chaos will follow.”
